A Word every day to get you on your way!

If you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! John 15:7
Keep The Connection
I remember the early days of the internet. Like most people, I had an America Online account. I would unplug the line from the phone, plug it into my computer, and “dial-up” to the AOL servers. I’d listen for the crackles, buzzes, and squeaks of early dial-up and wait for those glorious words, “You’ve got mail.” Later on, as the internet evolved, I got high-speed internet and didn’t need the phone line anymore. I could just plug in my ethernet cord, and I was up and running with a faster connection. Then came the breakthrough that would change my life forever, WiFi.
WiFi is ubiquitous now, but that was not always the case. In the early days of WiFi, you needed a WiFi-enabled computer, an upgrade from the normal computer, and if you were not at home, you needed to be in an internet hot spot. A hot spot was where a WiFi connection was available, but you had to stay in that spot. If you went too far away first, your connection would get unstable, and then you would lose connection altogether. So you had to stand very still in a particular place to have a high-speed connection to all that the world wide web had to offer because only in that spot did you have the connection you needed to get all that you wanted. But now things have evolved again, and you can get an over-the-air, high-speed WiFi connection almost anywhere you go, even at 35,000 feet.
Friends, like WiFi, the Lord wants to have a constant connection with you because you can’t do anything disconnected. You see, the expansion of internet access was because we needed it to do more and more things in life. Similarly, we need access and connection to the Lord because we need him for EVERYTHING in life. When we stay connected to the Lord, he promises that what we ask of him will be granted to us. So no matter what you do, make sure you keep connected, or else you may find yourself wandering through life looking for a signal.
