The Daily Dose with Dr. Daryl L. Williams

A Word every day to get you on your way!

Here is the Daily Dose for Friday, February 7, 2020.

For your light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 2 Corinthians 4:17

Stay Focused.

We have all had bad days from time to time. We can usually get past those because they only happen from time to time. We can get past a bad Tuesday because by Thursday everything is better. But sometimes, it is not as simple as a bad day or two. There are times in life when we go through bad seasons. Those times in life when things don’t get better and sometimes get worse. We keep hoping that things will turn around, but for some reason, they just don’t. They keep going in the same direction and leave us to wonder what we should do now.

When you are going through a bad season there is only one thing that you can do, STAY FOCUSED. In these seasons in life, the enemy is trying to pile on the problems, pour on the grief, and keep heaping on the issues. What the enemy believes is if they can hit you hard enough, long enough, you will lose focus on what you are moving towards and start focusing on what you are going through. The enemy wants to frustrate, confuse and annoy you into not thinking about the big picture and only looking at the things that are going on in the moment. That’s why you have to stay focused.

Friends, when we stay focused on what God is doing in our lives and what God has called us to do we realize that what we are going through doesn’t measure up to what we are going to. We realize that while issues, troubles, and attacks are real, they also pale in comparison to the glory that God has in store for us. When we stay focused, we fight through to what God has for us knowing that in the end, it will all be worth it. In the end, we will be stronger, wiser, and better for it all and the enemy will be defeated again, all because you stayed focused.

Be Blessed,
