The Daily Dose with Dr. Daryl L. Williams

A Word every day to get you on your way!

Here is the Daily Dose for Friday, January 3, 2020.

The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. Genesis 1:2

In The Dark

If you have ever been in a dark empty room you know it is a disorienting feeling. The feeling is even worse if it is a room that you have never been in before. In a room that you kind of know, you can feel your way around. You know what is supposed to be where, and how to navigate. But in a room that you don’t know, everything seems off. You don’t know where the walls are, if there is anything in your way, and you may get the feeling that at any time you may trip, fall or hurt yourself. So what you really want is some type of help to get through what is an uncertain environment. Someone to help get you around until you know for yourself where things are.

Life can be like a dark room sometimes. As you enter into different stages of life, you can feel as if you are in the darkness trying to find your way. You can feel as if you just want to get your bearings and have someone tell you which way to go in uncertain times. The great thing is, no matter how uncertain the time us for you, it is never uncertain for God and he is always there. When we find ourselves in darkness, God can still see clearly and he is there with us. He is always looking, hovering and keeping us, even in times of darkness and uncertainty.

Friends, fear not in times of uncertainty, God never leaves us alone. God is always hovering ready to guide us through the darkest hours. You may not be able to see your hand in front of your face, let alone a light at the end of the tunnel, but God is still there. God is still watching you, keeping you, and planning for you. So don’t be afraid of the dark. Take heart and know that even in the dark you are not alone, you are still loved, and God is still there.

Be Blessed,

Rev
