A Word every day to get you on your way!

Here is the Daily Dose for Thursday, January 2, 2020.

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1

In The Beginning

Happy New Year! There is something that is always inspiring about the beginning of a year. It is like we have a clean slate to start over. The things of the past are gone, and there is boundless optimism and potential for the year to come. It is at this time that we often will start looking at the things that we want to do in the year ahead. We may resolve to lose weight this year. We may resolve to get closer to God this year. We may resolve to spend more time with family and friends, to achieve new goals at work, or to start that project that we have been waiting for just the right time to kick off.

The great thing about the beginning of the year is that it is the time that we can begin to create the future that we want. When we look at the beginning of time, the word tells us that God created. He starts at the beginning of time by creating the heavens and the earth. He starts by creating the environment that all will live in with everything that they will need. God takes a blank slate and creates what he as visualized for all of us. It is that desire and ability to create that we have to carry with us this year.

Friends, as the year begins the question is what will you create this year? Will you create more of the same or will you create what you have always dreamed of? Will you create something beautiful that gives life or will you create something that sucks the life out of you and everyone else? The new year is a blank page and a clean slate to create the life, the family, the career and the world that you have always dreamed of. So take this time to follow the first example that God gives us in the Bible, in the beginning, create.

Be Blessed,

Rev
