I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7
We Made It
At the end of every year, we become excited about the year to come. We start looking forward to the best days being ahead, the new resolutions we are going to live into and all that a new year holds. As much as we look forward to the next year, we must not forget that ending a year is important as well. No matter what kind of year it was, you made it. You made it through ups and downs. You made it through losses and victories. With all that 365 days can throw at you, you made it and that is something to be thankful for.
As you look back on the year that was, take a look for the lessons that you learned. You may have learned that you were stronger than you thought you were. You may have learned that you could make it through tough times. You may have learned that God can carry you in good times and bad. You may have learned that there were things you thought you needed that you can live without and things that you never thought of that you need every day. No matter the lessons that you learned, hang on to them and carry them with you into next year.
Friends, we made it. No matter what kind of year it was, we made it. We fought the good fight, we finished the course, and we kept the faith. So as you close out this year, close it out with a grateful heart. As we enter into next year, let us enter into it with great expectations.
