The Daily Dose with Dr. Daryl L. Williams

A Word every day to get you on your way!

Here is the Daily Dose for Wednesday, March 13, 2019.

The life of the godly is full of light and joy, but the light of the wicked will be snuffed out. Proverbs 13:9

Light It Up

You probably know someone who lights up the room when they walk in. No matter what is going on, they make everything better. They bring an aura that makes people feel better, more at ease and lifts their spirits. No matter the situation, these folks can make everything better. By contrast, you also know someone who is a permanent dark cloud. The type of person that always brings doom and gloom. They can see the bad side of every situation and know exactly how to ruin everyone’s day. The difference between these people is not who they are but how they see who they are.

Each day we have the opportunity to see our lives through new eyes. We have the opportunity to look for the bright side of every situation and spread light or look for the dark side of every situation and spread gloom. No matter what you are going through I promise you there is some good there. Occasionally, the good is that you are surviving what you are going through. No matter how bad it might be, the fact that you are surviving and facing another day is a reason to be positive, spread love and be a light in the world.

Today, turn on your light. Before you do anything else, I want you to look in the mirror and smile. The person that you are smiling at is loved by God. The person that you are smiling at is special and is on this earth for a reason. The person that you are looking at has the potential to do great things, change people lives and will leave their mark on the world. That person is important, loved, has value and God has a plan for them. So once you leave that mirror keep that smile for the rest of the day and share it with other people. You never know who is depending on you to walk in the room and light it up.

Be Blessed,

Rev
