A Proverb a day gets you on your way!

Here is the Daily Dose for Monday, May 2, 2016.

Wise choices will watch over you. Understanding will keep you safe. Proverbs 2:11

Choose Wisely

“You take the blue pill, the story ends. You wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.” – Morpheus

This is my favorite quote from the movie The Matrix. It is when Morpheus offers Neo a chance to change his life. Neo, has been living a normal life that he is bored with. He knows there is something else out there, but he can’t quite put his finger on it. He knows he was meant for more, wanted to do more, and here was his chance to be all that he always thought he could be. There was only one problem, he had to make  a choice. Nobody was going to make him take a pill, he had to pick a pill and then see what happens.

Many times in life, we live well below what God has for us because we make a choice to do so. God offers us two lives, the  one that we are living, and the one that is available by living through faith in him. In the life that we are living we are subject to the pitfalls of sin and isolation from God. In the life that God offers we have communion with him, power to do all things and life ever after. It is all up to us.

Today, I want to encourage you to choose the God. God only wants the best for you. He wants to see you live a full and abundant life. A life that benefits you and that benefits others. He wants you to live a life that never leaves you alone or forsaken. He wants you to have a life that helps you remember that no matter what happens, this too shall pass, and you have the strength through him to make it. God wants you to have the best life ever, but you have to choose it. I hope yo make the right choice.

Be Blessed,
